Image
Unlike most cities in Nigeria, Owerri has many center attractions for tourists. During vacations or your personal time off work or school, you should consider Owerri as one of the cities you might tour. Places like the Imo International Convention Center (IICC), Freedom Square, Ibari Ogwa and House of Freda have the major numbers of tourists this season. A quick look at the Freedom Square.

IN THE SPIRIT OF YULETIDE

Breathe in the fresh air of the season Then think deeply of the reason See how One, for the love of all, gave up His all Remember His sufferings and how He had to fall. A historic fall that paid for all of humanity's future expenses The truth is being revealed in prophesies The truth present in a brighter future The lies absent in the message of grace. In everything we see it clearly now In brevity we see He truly gave His all So we accept and believe in Him In the spirit of yuletide, we celebrate Him.

MOMENTS OF REFLECTION

Image
The 25th of December and 1st of January have seven days between them. In these seven days, we should remember and appreciate Christ  and everything He's done for mankind, then evaluate ourselves. Find out where we've come short of His glory, figure out those mistakes we made, catch a glimpse of our regrets, being careful enough not to wallow in these regrets and mistakes, and then make better plans for the future (New year). Most people call it the 'new year resolution'. For a man or woman with purpose, this exercise helps keep them focused and in line with their personal vision. For those who don't have a specific purpose, but plan for the future, they become better people than they were, they learn from their mistakes, they grow in all aspects of their lives- which they planned towards- and they are never confused. For those who don't have a specific purpose and don't make better plans, they dive into the new year and drown in unbelievable troubles an...

BEING A PERFECT GENTLEMAN

Image
Holla! Gosh! I have been staring at my empty sheet of paper for hours now, thinking of what to grace your sight and brains with. Still the creative juices’ didn’t flow, until I thought; “nothing and no one is perfect”. I assure you that not finding my mojo isn’t driving me crazy. The connection between my thought and the fashion world is that, no matter how well we place the awesome pieces together, it can never be perfect – but we can try to make it seem that way. The men’s fashion seems to be underrated; this is why I am here to take away your ignorance. I am your gene *winks*. Ladies feel free to go through this article and beat your man into shape; not literally beat him to a pulp though #LOL (Laugh Out Loud). First off, here are some tips for mind reconstruction: 1.      KEEP IT SIMPLE: Most guys think that keeping it simple means wearing loose jeans and an oversized shirt, or worse; wearing more than three piec...

PERFECT COLOURS FOR THE SEASON

Image
Hey guys, came up with this idea of 'best colours for harmattan season'. Thought it'll be of help to everyone. This also extends to the guys, there are masculine colours that'll also suit your taste. This season's "new black" and it's "it colour" is purple. You can experiment and have fun with different shades of purple, depending on the shade of your skin. Violet isn't a bad idea either. It has this cool touch of a 'classic wildness'. Your colouring also makes a difference between whether you can wear a gold or silver jewelry and your shades of make up. A perfect harmattan look would be; a navy blue gown on a brunette, with pale or dark eyes, in navy blue or charcoal gray footwear. Best colours for deep harmattan includes; black, charcoal, black-brown, red brown, icy gray, gray, hot pink, true red, rust, aubergine, blue, red, mint, lemon, yellow, light green, emerald green, olive, purple, clear teal, bright periwinkle, blue,...
